The Emmaus Road, Fall 2017
One of the most glorious - and humorous - narratives of the Risen Jesus comes to a head with this line: "While the men from Emmaus were absorbed in their serious talk and discussion, Jesus himself approached and walked along with them..." (Luke 24)
Fall 2017, in embracing our passion for the Early Church's day-by-day gathering together, we began taking every-weekday walks over the lunch hour. This was a chance to take a break from our days, meet with other brothers and sisters, talk of Jesus, talk to Jesus, and watch how "Jesus Himself approached" us on our walk together. Pauline Chapel was our starting- and stopping-point. And what glories we experienced together!
The Early Church Experiment
In 2016-2017, believers from all over Colorado Springs came together to join our "experiment" in emulating the spirit and structure of the Early Church's gatherings. We were blessed to meet at The Pinery at the Hill, above downtown.
Our purpose was to reconstitute that first generation's vigor, joy and Belief as we celebrated the glorious goodness of Jesus and learnt better what it means to actually be His Body.
Thanks to everyone who "experimented" with us!
